Mythic Mercantile started with a simple conviction: the things you put on your body should carry weight. Not just fabric — meaning. Every symbol, every name, every design in our catalog is drawn from the deep well of human mythology, folklore, and the stories we tell ourselves when the world gets hard.
Founded by Jason Frank — Art Director, Graphic Designer, and mixed-media fine artist — the brand grew out of three decades of creative practice and a 2020 life pivot that brought authentic expression to the center of everything. Shaped by mentors, built in community, and connected to the MoonMarks 501(c)(3) artist development mission.

Jason Frank — 20+ Years Evolving Graphic Art
Jason is an experienced Art Director and Graphic Designer with over two decades of service in the industry. His expertise lies in cultivating aesthetic solutions in branding and marketing for both local and global enterprises. His creative flair and style have earned him recognition from regional and national Ad Federation's ADDY Awards, accumulating over 50 ADDYs in his market from 2003 to 2008.
Over time, Jason transformed his artistic expression into non-representational, mixed-media abstract paintings. In 2020, he experienced a significant life change and embraced the homemaker paradigm to raise his newborn. During this time, he discovered the joy of authentic expression through art-making — connecting with inspiring art tribes and mentors online, and doubling down on workshops to fill any gaps in his formal training. Mentors include Nicholas Wilton, Lewis Noble, Louise Fletcher, Pamela Coughey, Judy Woods, and Alice Sheridan.
Currently residing in California's San Joaquin Valley, Jason's vision is to connect with regional curators for emerging art, participate in exhibitions, and serve collectors who appreciate rare, curious aesthetics. He aims to position himself as an authority in his field while remaining humble and compassionate, earning trust and new opportunities along the way.
